E-Dive

E-dive was first established in 2002, as a PADI Resort, in a small operation situated in Gayana Resort, of Tunku Abdul Rahman Park. As the operation expanded into a Tour agency, we were able to extend the dive centre to a competing dive resort within Kota Kinabalu, and are now recognized as one of the most outstanding dive centres in the area.

Since our big-break, we have been awarded several awards, one of which is for Project Aware. We were published in the PADI Undersea Journal, as a coral aware reef clean up operator. We have also appeared on the project aware website, www.projectaware.org. We have also rescued a Proboscis monkey from drowning in the national park. E-Dive is very keen on supporting project aware as we look to our future of saving our reefs for the future generations.

Other awards have been dive instructors associated with PADI for over ten years. E-Dive has also produced, one of the most and recognized youngest instructors in Asia Pacific Region. He has since been awarded from PADI the ‘Young Achiever in Diving Award’ which specializes in, most certifications, level of dive instructor, teaching children, project aware, and future ambitions.

E-Dive has so much to offer scuba divers as a wonderful experience, as we are primarily based in the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park. The national park has five islands all of which has different great aspects of marine life. The biggest aspiration of the National Park is the macro life, which just never stops. Also we have pelagic marine life always entering the waters as a run for the open ocean.

With over 25 dive sites, there is such a big variety, it’s not about what is there, it’s about what you can find. Every week the dive team discovers new and exciting marine life, hanging about, like the ever-present Frog Fish, Mandarin Fish, the large Lion Fish, scorpion fish and the sea horse. Also to be seen is the seasonal Whale Shark, Manta, Marble, and Eagle Rays, cobia, and giant grouper. Most of the common types of reef fishes can be found. Giant table corals, sea fan, staghorn, sponge corals, brain coral and cabbage corals are also a highlight of the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park, which is widely seen across most reefs.

The dive team never changed for over two years, has such a friendly twist to end off the dive trip, as we are a very supporting dive team, which can make any diver feel very happy. Specialized in teaching, guiding, and photography areas, we are able to cater for every diver needs, and able to know precisely what it is you want from your dive trip. Language areas is not a problem, as we provide, English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka, Malay, Japanese, Korean, and some Pilipino languages.

We have a very spacious catamaran dive boat, with twin Yamaha 115HP 4 stroke engines, we are able to cater up to 25 divers in one day.
